Boston Area Rubber Roofing Installation
Boston residents are looking for a roofer with experience and a deft touch call on GN Exteriors for their roofing work. This is because GN Exteriors is skilled across all flat roofing types: from Asphalt rolled roofing and TPO to Rubber Roofing, GN Exteriors gets the job done.
Removal of old roofing material
Stripping the old flat roofing material from the roof decking is required in most flat roofing projects. This is truly the only way to ensure that the roof surface is in good condition and ready for the new EPDM Rubber Roofing solution.
Poly ISO Insulation installation
Poly ISO insulation provides great insulation while keeping your roof dry. We never recommend installing fiberboard over heated living space as it does not provide insulation and attic condensation and leaks will make fiberboard wet. Moisture will be trapped inside, causing mold growth and further reducing its efficiency.
Deck inspection and board replacement
Once the old flat roofing material is removed (often several layers), we are able to inspect the roof decking. Often times some replacement of rotted or brittle wood is needed to ensure proper installation of the EPDM Rubber Roof.
EPDM Rubber Roofing installation
Once the roof area is stripped, repaired, and insulated; it's time to install the EPDM Rubber Membrane. EPDM Rubber Roofing is installed following manufacturer specifications and with limited seams. Rubber Roofing Seam Tape and Cover Tape are always used to splice seams and create a watertight solution.
